The Highland View Academy Aerials is a co-ed acrobatic gymnastics team. With Christ as our center we strive to uplift Him in all elements of our life and team both on and off of the mats. Creating a family atmosphere, sharpening our talents, having fun, and glorifying God are the pillars of our program.
The Aerials regularly tour to local schools and have also performed in front of audiences of up to 2000 people at events such as Acrofest, an annual Adventist gymnastics clinic hosted by university teams. Students in the Aerials gymnastics program come from varying and diverse backgrounds, some with years of gymnastics experience and others with no experience at all; but together, with one common focus, we are able to build something incredible and unique each year.
Matt and Krista Price have been the coaches of the Highland View Academy Aerials since 2018. Combined Matt and Krista have over 2 decades of gymnastics experience. Krista learned gymnastics during her elementary years and then went on to do two years with the Great Lakes Adventist Academy Aerokhanas. During college, Matt and Krista were both members of the Andrews University Gymnics. Their time on Gymnics included half-time performances for the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons, mission trips to Belize and San Francisco, as well as multiple trips to Acrofest and many shows for public and private schools across North America. The biggest takeaway from their time on Gymnics and Aerokhanas was Christ-centered gymnastics and building a family unit within the team. It’s these same elements that Matt and Krista focus their energy on for the HVA Aerials – to share with students a love for Adventist gymnastics and create an experience that they will never forget.
Former Assistant Coaches of the Highland View Academy Aerials have
included Jonathan Benson, Natalie Hutchins, and Jefferson McCain.
